Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive  Principal Cyber Systems DevOps Engineer (Level 3) OR Sr. Principal Cyber Systems DevOps Engineer (Level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test & Evaluation organization in Melbourne, FL . As the Cyber Systems DevOps Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of automated processes and infrastructure solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance software development, lifecycle efficiencies, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and managing cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with various automation tools and technologies, ensuring that the deployment and operational processes are streamlined and reliable. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes.  Develop and manage infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to provision and manage cloud/On-Prem cloud resources. Automate the deployment and configuration of virtual machines and containers using tools like Ansible and Docker. Collaborate with software development teams to integrate automated testing and ensure code quality through continuous feedback. Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability of applications in cloud environments. Create and maintain custom automation tools to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Develop scripts and automation workflows for virtual test station deployment and configuration management. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automated systems and processes. Document automation processes, best practices, and operational guidelines for team knowledge sharing. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations in automation and DevOps practices. Basic Qualifications: This requisition may be filled at a   Principal Cyber Systems DevOps Engineer (Level 3) OR Sr. Principal Cyber Systems DevOps Engineer (Level 4) level based on the qualifications below. Principal Cyber Systems DevOps Engineer (Level 3) Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience. Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company. Ability and willingness to support alternate work schedules, weekends, extended work weeks and travel (~10%) to support program activities and integration. Must possess a current DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification (i.e. Security+ CE or equivalent). Sr. Principal Cyber Systems DevOps Engineer (Level 4) Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 8 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 6 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 4 years of related professional/military experience. Preferred Qualifications:  Proficiency in software development with experience in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services for managing infrastructure. Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) for automating system configurations. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure system health and performance. Understanding of Agile methodologies and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to support project management. #AS-FA3 Primary Level Salary Range: $108,200.00 - $162,400.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $135,000.00 - $202,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
