Key responsibilities include preparing accurate journal entries, robust monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and collaborating with local stakeholders for timely issue resolution. The position requires proactive communication with finance colleagues and regional accounting teams to address queries effectively while adhering to Alcon standards and policies. It also involves meeting SLA/KPI targets and addressing internal and external inquiries. Compliance The Record to Report Senior Associate focuses on maintaining comprehensive documentation of all processes, policies, and procedures while ensuring compliance with IFRS, Financial Controls Manual, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include applying Alcon's control procedures, supporting SOX certification, and fostering a strong control environment. Additionally, the role involves addressing audit findings and implementing corrective measures to uphold compliance and operational integrity. People Management · Actively support Financial Reporting & Accounting (FRA) Ops working style by being inclusive, proactive, respectful, and results driven in alignment with Alcon Values and Behaviors · Act service oriented to enable service lines to deliver a high-performing organization and contribute to derive to improvements/standard solutions while cultivating customer service focus culture. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON: Education: Undergraduate degree in accounting and/or finance required. Masters or Advanced degree in accounting preferred Languages: English proficiency - intermediate level (Conversation, reading and writing Experience: Accounting Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience in accounting (Mid-Sr level) with a track record of accurate accounting and financial reporting. Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of IFRS, balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and statutory/corporate accounting. Audit & Compliance: Experience supporting internal and external audits, with a solid grasp of internal and financial controls. Technology Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and advanced Excel skills, along with familiarity with Word and PowerPoint. Core Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and planning abilities. Strong analytical skills with a focus on delivering results within deadlines.
