As a Senior Buyer, you'll procure goods and services cost-effectively and timely. You'll develop relationships, negotiate contracts, and work closely with suppliers to maintain inventory levels. You'll maintain a lean inventory, implement cost-saving strategies, and ensure planning data integrity. Managing key supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery of goods and services Leading initiatives to reduce expenses, and developing annual plans for continuous cost reduction improvements with suppliers Developing, maintaining and strengthening supplier relationships through effective contract negotiation, ensuring timely delivery and quality. Ensuring that planning parameters within the procurement software system support lean inventory requirements Mentoring less experienced buyers to ensure they are meeting performance expectations and developing their skills Compliance Rate OTD Improvement Cost Savings Supplier performance Knowledge - Possess in-depth knowledge of purchasing, procurement, supplier management supply chain management and strategic procurement implementation. Skill - Be able to demonstrate effective negotiation skills and experience collaborating with suppliers. Skill - Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement software tools Skill - Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. Skill - Be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing business needs and priorities. Compensation & Benefits: The base pay for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 per year depending on the geographic market. Dependent on the position offered, annual bonuses and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of the compensation package.
