Summary We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to develop applications for Keonn product portfolio that powers all our high-end RFID readers and derived systems. In this role, you will be developing Java applications to enhance, debug, and optimize our current infrastructure while implementing new features to meet evolving market demands.   Your Responsibilities Develop and maintain Java applications for IoT devices   Implement new features and functionality for RFID reader systems   Debug and resolve software issues in embedded environments   Optimize code performance and memory usage   Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration   Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards   Create and maintain technical documentation   Support testing and validation of firmware releases Future opportunity to l ead the Java development team  if skilled and interested Your Experience, Education, and Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field   5+ years of experience in Java development, preferably in embedded systems   Strong understanding of embedded Java programming   Experience with real-time systems and multi-threading   Experience with working in Linux and command line Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies   Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills   Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail   Fluent in English (Spanish is a big advantage) Your Advantage (Nice-to-have) Knowledge of network programming and communication protocols is a plus   Familiarity with RFID technology and RF systems is a plus   Our Benefits Company that designs and manufactures worldwide RFID equipment for the retail sector Flexible working hours 23 days off + 2 days extra 1-2 days per week working from home possibility New 4000sqm corporate building next to Westfield La Maquinista Specialty coffee, tea and table tennis Support for online training programs Young and dynamic work environment with opportunity to learn from real professionals Opportunity to grow in a fast-paced international company #LI-JM1 #LI-Hybrid Novanta is proud to be an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action workplace.
