We are a highly profitable regional CPA firm seeking a Tax Supervisor to join our growing team. This role offers a strong career progression path, exposure to both SEC and closely held clients across a range of industries, and a balanced work-life environment. You’ll play a key leadership role in tax return preparation and review, client service, and staff development. Key Responsibilities: Review and approve complex tax returns and government tax examinations. Manage and delegate tax preparation responsibilities, particularly for large or complex business returns. Provide advanced technical guidance to clients and internal teams. Ensure timely, accurate, and complete preparation of all client tax filings. Participate in client meetings, tax planning, and coordination with the Audit and Accounting team. Serve as a key tax resource to A&A staff and tax preparers. Manage IRS and other government tax examinations, representing clients as needed. Oversee billing and collections for assigned clients. Contribute to firm growth through community involvement and business development efforts. Supervisory Responsibilities: Mentor, train, and evaluate Tax Department team members, including Seniors and Staff Accountants. Provide ongoing development and coaching to support technical and professional growth. Assist in performance reviews and contribute to departmental evaluations. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA license or JD (active and in good standing). 5–7 years of public accounting experience with increasing tax complexity. Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience. Experience in international tax consulting and compliance. Familiarity with both U.S. domestic and international tax compliance for high-net-worth individuals, pass-through entities, and corporations. Working knowledge of Subpart F, GILTI, PFIC, foreign tax credits, and income tax treaties. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Taxation. Strong technical skills and proficiency in complex tax planning and strategy. Demonstrated success in client relationship management and staff development.
