Xylem is searching for a Field Service Technician to support our Heavy Industries Business Unit located in Benicia, CA. The Field Service Technician will operate and maintain water treatment systems, effectively identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them. Core Responsibilities and Tasks •    Creates and maintains safe working environment and cultures within the organization •    Trouble shoots systems for mechanical, electrical equipment conditions •    Identify and remedy safety issues – both Company and Customer owned equipment •    Direct interfacing with customer •    Potentially at multiple sites with multiple technologies •    Delivery and installation of water filtration tanks  Organization Impact: •    First line of technical service support •    Customer facing •    High utilization •    Accountable to customer for operation and repair of the system   Position Requirements FORMAL EDUCATION Required: •    HS diploma or equivalent KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required:  •    Ability to obtain TWIC card •    One year of mechanical and/ or instrumentation work experience preferred •    0-2 years technical experience in water treatment technologies •    Experience with Microsoft office including smart devices •    Must have customer service experience •    Demonstrates critical thinking and trouble shooting ability •    Able to pass a credit check •    Forklift certification preferred not required  •    50 lb lifting requirement  •    Must be willing and able to work some overtime, weekends, and holidays; must be willing to travel 25% of time •    On call responsibilities on a rotational schedule The estimated pay range for this position is $45,300-$72,500. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
