The role – Senior Engineer Application Engineer at Xylem Vadodara Plant location. Responsible for evaluating customer requirements and providing technically sound and cost-effective solutions related to pumping systems. Lead preparation of proposals, technical selections, and documentation to support sales teams and secure business.  Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities: Analyze customer specifications, applications, and project requirements to recommend appropriate pump solutions. Select pumps, materials, and accessories based on hydraulic calculations, performance data, and industry standards. Prepare techno-commercial proposals, cost estimations, and bid documentation within defined timelines. Coordinate with sales, design, sourcing, and manufacturing teams for accurate solution development. Support customers with technical clarifications during bidding and proposal stages. Review RFQs, tender documents, and ensure compliance with applicable standards. Participate in technical discussions, presentations, and negotiations with internal/external stakeholders. Maintain project records, pricing templates, and ensure adherence to company policies. Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the engineering team. Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification: Qualification should be bachelor’s degree in engineering ( preferable Mechanical) with 5-7years of experience. Strong knowledge of pump hydraulics, system design, and industrial applications (Water/Wastewater/Oil & Gas/Process Industry). Proficiency in pump selection tools and engineering software. Good understanding of tendering processes and commercial terms. Excellent communication, presentation, and customer-handling skills. Ability to manage multiple proposals and work under deadlines.
