Scheduled Hours 37.5 Position Summary The Academic Advisor II at WashU's Brown School plays a pivotal role in providing dedicated academic support to Master of Social Work and Master of Social Policy students. This position is responsible for academic advising, with a case load of at least half of the student body. Assists with functions of academic affairs in fulfillment of accreditation standards. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Serve as one of the primary academic advisors for the Brown School, requiring significant fluency of the MSW curriculum, concentrations, specializations, and course sequencing, pre- and co-requisites, and student needs to ensure students complete their degree on time. Support the initiatives of the Academic Affairs Team, including programming to support the Student Advisory Council, the Global Programs Office, and other student initiatives, programs and events as needed. Assist with the implementation and facilitation of New Student Orientation, Fall semester onboarding, December and May Commencement events, and Brown School Excellence Awards. Perform other duties as assigned. Working Conditions: Job Location/Working Conditions Normal office environment. Physical Effort Typically sitting at desk or table.
