As Head of Legal Vietnam , you will lead the country legal agenda, acting as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to the Vietnam Leadership Team and GBUs. You will shape business strategy through sound legal judgment, thoughtful risk-taking, and deep understanding of both the local healthcare ecosystem and Sanofi’s global priorities. This role requires close collaboration with Ethics & Business Integrity (E&BI) and regional Legal, Ethics & Business Integrity (LEBI) teams, while actively driving the LEBI Mindset Shifts Transformation Journey in Vietnam. Main Responsibilities Strategic Legal Leadership Serve as the principal legal advisor to the Vietnam Leadership Team, Pharma and Vaccines GBUs. Anticipate legal, regulatory, and compliance risks, providing proactive, pragmatic, and business-oriented solutions. Contribute to country strategy, major transactions, partnerships, and critical projects from a legal and risk perspective. Balance legal rigor with commercial judgment to enable sustainable business growth. Risk Management & Decision Support Evaluate complex, high-impact matters involving legal, regulatory, and ethical considerations. Navigate conflicting interests and ambiguous situations with clarity and confidence. Address matters cutting across legal, compliance, litigation, and governance with speed and sound judgment. Stakeholder & Ecosystem Engagement Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, internal functions, and external stakeholders. Stay closely connected to regulatory trends through engagement with industry associations and relevant authorities. Act as a strong bridge between global policies and local business realities. Team & Capability Development Lead, coach, and develop a local legal team (1–2 professionals), fostering accountability, inclusion, and agility. Act as a “Reference Board” for country lawyers on complex assessments, litigation, and sensitive matters. Collaborate closely with regional and global LEBI teams to maximize collective impact. About You Experience & Qualifications Law degree with 10+ years of legal experience ; in-house pharma experience and/or law firm background in healthcare/life sciences strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and healthcare compliance frameworks. Proven experience advising senior leadership on complex business and legal issues. Excellent working proficiency in English. Leadership & Professional Capabilities Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and deep technical legal expertise. Ability to anticipate change, adapt quickly, and lead through ambiguity. Confident decision-maker with the courage to challenge constructively and take ownership.
