Role Type: Full-time Engagement: Independent Contractor Job Summary We’re looking for a Wix & WordPress Web Developer with strong technical and design skills to build, customize, and maintain high-quality websites. You’ll work on a variety of projects—from brochure-style websites to fully functional WooCommerce stores—while collaborating closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding results. Key Responsibilities Build and customise websites using Wix Classic Editor and Wix Studio based on client requirements. Develop, customise, and maintain WordPress websites , including theme customisation and plugin integrations. Set up and manage WooCommerce stores , including products, payment gateways, shipping, and inventory. Create responsive, visually engaging pages using Elementor Pro . Implement custom features using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript where needed. Collaborate with clients and internal team members to gather requirements and explain technical solutions clearly. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines. Test, debug, and optimise websites across browsers and devices. Proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions before they impact delivery. Technical Skills (Must-Have) Strong experience with Wix Classic Editor and Wix Studio . Advanced knowledge of WordPress , including theme customisation and plugin management. Hands-on experience with WooCommerce for eCommerce development. Expert-level proficiency in Elementor Pro . Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for custom enhancements. Design Skills Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design. Ability to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes . Experience using design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator . Soft Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset. Highly adaptable and comfortable working across different project sizes and scopes. Nice to Have: A portfolio showcasing Wix, WordPress, and WooCommerce projects . Experience working with cross-functional teams (designers, developers, project managers). Prior involvement in client-facing meetings and requirement-gathering sessions. Experience managing projects from concept to deployment. Strong quality assurance practices, including testing across devices and browsers.
