About  Created in 2019, Zego Insurance Limited (ZIL) was the UK’s first ever insurtech to secure its own insurance licence. Authorised and regulated by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission, we provide underwriting capacity to the group MGA, Zego, for personal and commercial motor customers in the UK. Role overview: Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will be primarily responsible for assisting in all areas of the Finance function, including: The preparation of monthly Management Accounts. The preparation of the annual Financial Statements. Liaising with both internal and external auditors.  All aspects of the Treasury function including both banking and investments. Reporting to reinsurers as required. The preparation and submission of regulatory returns. Involvement with the preparation of forward-looking business plans. The preparation of information for Board and Committee meetings. To succeed in this role you will require: Strong Microsoft and Excel skills plus experience of working with accounting packages. Good Accounting background in insurance and financial services. Some knowledge of banking platforms. To be comfortable operating in an autonomous and dynamic environment.  A willingness to be hands on across all areas of accounting. Be self motivated, always thrive to learn. Have a keen eye for technology, especially AI and automation. An ability to challenge current working methodologies and offering up and implementing alternative, more efficient solutions.
