For our office in Geneva, we are currently looking for a Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer. Main tasks: Design for manufacturing, cost-efficient and robust solutions. Convert advanced concepts into practical design. Challenges concepts and drawings produced by others. Be a reference and coach for robust design. Support actual products within a multi-department team. Able to master actual product requiring complex multi-physical understandings. Hands-on with experimental mounting and testing. Master/PhD of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnics or Mechatronics/similar. Tolerance management, Robust Design, Design-to-Cost, Finite Element Analysis (Solidworks, Comsol, Ansys). Development of complex systems involving different technologies (in particular electrical, mechanical, magnetic). Implementation of robust design into industrial products. Key player in inventing advanced concepts and solving critical issues. Broad knowledge of machining capabilities and material (plastics/thermoset). French & English (must), German (wish). Geometrical Product Specifications (ISO Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), Tolerance Management (with application in SolidWorks). Functional Analysis, FMEA. Electrical engineering fundamentals/Power electronics.
