Role Overview As Director – HR for Apna Job Marketplace , you will partner closely with the CEO (Marketplace) and the leadership team to design and build the organisation for the next phase of growth. This role sits at the intersection of leadership hiring, organisational design, performance management, and leadership development , ensuring the business has the right talent, structure, and culture to scale . You will play a pivotal role in shaping how the organisation grows, how leaders perform, and how teams deliver outcomes. Key Responsibilities Leadership Hiring & Talent Architecture Partner with the CEO and business leaders to attract and hire high-impact leadership talent across product, tech, business, and operations. Design the talent architecture required to support the marketplace’s next phase of growth. Build strong leadership pipelines and ensure quality-of-hire for critical roles . Give oversight to overall Talent Acquisition function to remain productive and enabling business. Organisation Design & Succession Planning Lead organisation design and workforce planning aligned with business strategy. Define clear roles, spans, and leadership layers to improve execution and accountability. Build succession planning frameworks for critical leadership positions. Performance & Accountability Systems Design and drive high-performance management systems including goal setting, performance reviews, and calibration. Ensure strong clarity of goals, accountability, and performance differentiation across teams. Partner with leaders to build a results-driven culture . Leadership Development & Coaching Coach and support leaders in building high-performing teams and scalable functions . Drive leadership capability programs and manager effectiveness initiatives . Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team on people decisions. Culture & Employee Engagement Strengthen Apna’s culture of ownership, speed, and impact . Drive engagement initiatives and leadership communication rhythms. Ensure the organisation scales while retaining the startup mindset and mission focus . 12–15 years of experience across HR, organisation development, and talent acquisition leadership. Experience in high-growth tech or internet companies . Strong exposure to org design, leadership hiring, and performance management systems . Proven experience working closely with founders, CXOs, or senior leadership teams . Strong business orientation with the ability to balance strategy and execution .
