The primary responsibilities of this position are to establish #product #mechanical requirements, engineer the product to meet those requirements and validate that the product meets those requirements. This involves working with internal development teams and external suppliers and development partners to develop innovative mechanical solutions for PCs, particularly notebooks, using leading-edge engineering software, tools and processes. The mechanical architect will also be responsible for driving others including external suppliers and development partners to deliver robust mechanical solutions. __ Provide #technical expertise and engineering leadership to influence future mobile product design, with a strong focus on the front-end design cycle. __ Collaborate with Marketing and internal teams to define product requirements and generate customer-focused #design concepts. __ Lead cross-functional technical decisions across industrial design, usability, quality, and reliability #domains. __ Develop and communicate design concepts using 3D CAD tools, and direct design enablement with external development partners (ODMs). __ Partner with #technology providers to identify #innovation opportunities, assess risks, ensure implementation readiness, and generate intellectual property.
