Job Description Laser design engineer for InP semiconductor laser, especially for DFB laser and high-speed EML. Responsibilities: Develop new or enhanced laser design with semiconductor material physics, optical science and high-speed design technologies.  Responsible for the stable volume production and the improvement of productivity Product design of DFB laser and EML for yield improvement and cost reduction Design and fabricate the necessary parts for evaluation, such as submounts, as needed. Evaluate fabricate chips, analyze evaluation data and write reports of them. Attend a meeting to explain and discuss the results. Expected Background: BSc, MSc, PhD degree in electronics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related equivalent technical field. Bachelors and 6+ years of work experience, Masters and 4+ years of work experience. PhD. no relevant work experiences. Expected Skill: Knowledge of compound semiconductor such as InP material system and material physics. Experience of semiconductor laser design and development with at least 1-2 years’ experience. Experience of product design for yield improvement and cost reduction of semiconductor laser diode Knowledge of semiconductor device reliability Fluent Japanese speaker and intermediate English skill Basic PC skills, such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
