This position is part of the Global Supply Quality Engineering team, focusing on optical commodities. As a Senior-Level Engineer, you will work within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team. Your key responsibilities will include: Supplier Management : Address non-conforming materials reported by factories using the 8D discipline. Supplier Audits : Conduct onsite or remote audits to assess suppliers’ quality management systems and identify potential risks in processes or product controls. Supplier Qualification : Oversee the qualification of new optical components through the part approval process, including specification review, first article inspections, process capability analysis, FMEA, and control plan development. Continuous Improvement : Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in defect DPPM (Defective Parts Per Million). Change Management : Manage Supplier Product Change Notifications (SPCN), analyze risks associated with these changes, and advise on internal reviews via the Change Control process. Technology Evaluation : Facilitate the review and evaluation of supplier technology capabilities. Requirements: Experience: Over 8 years in an engineering role within the telecom or commercial laser industry. Supplier Quality Management: Proven experience in managing supplier quality. Certifications: Strong knowledge of ISO 9001; additional QMS knowledge is a plus. Certified auditor preferred. Quality Tools: Proficiency with quality tools such as PQAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and PPAP. Problem Solving: Demonstrated experience in resolving complex issues. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
