Lumentum is headquartered in San Jose, California with R&D, manufacturing, and sales offices worldwide. This position reports to the Supplier Engineering organization responsible for PCBA quality. As a member of the SQE team, this position requires working within a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team, including Supply Chain, SQE, Contract manufacturers, suppliers, Product Engineer and R&D teams. You will keep track of contract manufactures' adherence to the Lumentum quality requirements and collaborate with different teams on the issue resolution. In this position you will: Be “boot on the ground” to monitor and collaborate with contract manufacture on PCBA issue, from incoming materials, through PCBA building and customer returns. Drive supplier issue resolution with suppliers, SQE, R&D and contract manufactures Work with Suppliers, Contract manufactures, Supply Chain, SQE, and R&D for DfM of new products; Required Qualifications: 8+ years of direct industry experience coupled with a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; Strong knowledge of problem-solving techniques; Experience in managing supplier quality Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; High energy, enthusiastic problem solver with a strong desire to learn new things; Knowledge of Semiconductor package processes is desired Experience in designing electrical circuits is a plus Willing and able to travel 15-20% of the time.
