About the role: At Diageo Portugal , we are strengthening our On Trade team and looking for a National Field Sales Manager – Route to Consumer (RTC) to lead a team of 9 people across the country. This is a strategic role with direct impact on execution excellence, commercial performance, and team culture within the On Trade channel. In this role you’ll need to lead, develop and inspire the RTC team, ensuring: Brilliant execution at point of sale Consistent delivery of Volume, NSV and Margin targets Implementation of Minimum Execution Standards by segment Strong commercial discipline (forecasting, O&R, scorecard management) A high-performance culture built on ownership and accountability You will translate channel strategy into clear execution plans, ensuring strong alignment with Customer Marketing, RGM, Commercial Finance, and key internal stakeholders. Role Responsibilities: In this role, you will lead, coach and develop a team of 9 Field Sales Executives , setting clear objectives, conducting regular performance reviews, and building tailored individual development plans to unlock each person’s full potential, while consistently role modelling our Dial Up Behaviors. You will be accountable for delivering against Volume, NSV and GM% targets, closely monitoring execution KPIs such as distribution, visibility, activation and out-of-stock management, leading structured monthly performance reviews, and ensuring disciplined and effective use of commercial tools including Anaplan and CRM systems. In addition, you will contribute to the definition and evolution of execution standards, translate strategic priorities into clear and actionable field plans, collaborate closely with KAMs and Distribution Executives, and ensure strong alignment between sell-in and sell-out performance to drive sustainable, profitable growth. About you Experience / skills required: We are looking for a commercially driven professional with solid sales experience (minimum 5 years of experience), ideally within the On Trade channel. Proven people leadership capabilities. You bring strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of P&L dynamics. Ability to influence and mobilize teams toward ambitious targets. With a true will to win, you wake up every day focused on outperforming predefined objectives. You are passionate about what you do and genuinely enjoy the night trade environment. You build strong, long-term commercial relationships, effectively influencing customers to create sustainable win–win partnerships. Execution-focused and results-oriented, you consistently deliver against targets while proactively identifying incremental opportunities. You adapt your communication style depending on the buyer, learn quickly to master a broad premium portfolio, and demonstrate energy, ambition, and a continuous improvement mindset.
