In this role, you will work under the guidance of a Project Manager and be responsible for research, data analysis, document creation, issue identification, and client-facing support. This is a hands-on consulting position focused on delivering high-quality project execution. By working closely with teams and clients both in Japan and globally, you will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in the energy domain and build the foundation to eventually lead projects in the future. Key Responsibilities Conduct research and prepare materials related to sustainability and energy transition Collect, analyze, and structure data to generate insights Develop client deliverables and proposals (PowerPoint / Word) Support Project Managers with project coordination and progress tracking Assist collaboration with overseas teams, including communication via chat and email in English Analyze client challenges in the energy domain (transition, efficiency, optimization, etc.) and prepare improvement suggestions Support the preparation and execution of workshops and client meetings Required Qualifications Experience as a strategy consultant, operations consultant, or equivalent business role ( Project management experience is not required ) Strong interest in sustainability, energy transition, or energy efficiency Proficiency in preparing documents using PowerPoint Foundational consulting skills, including: Logical thinking Data structuring and analysis Developing insights and recommendations Native-level Japanese proficiency Ability to read and write in English for coordination with global teams Preferred Qualifications Experience in the energy sector (renewables, oil & gas, utilities, etc.) or related analytical work Experience in sustainability, decarbonization (Net Zero), or ESG-related work Analyst/Associate experience at a consulting firm Ideal Candidate Profile Quick learner with the ability to take on new or unfamiliar topics proactively Self-starter who can think independently and take initiative rather than waiting for instructions Able to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal stakeholders Strong motivation to contribute to solving social and environmental issues High growth mindset and willingness to strengthen domain expertise Flexible in supporting client engagements, including onsite work when needed Agile, adaptable, and able to work with a positive and proactive attitude
