This role involves providing technical expertise in process safety and leading client workshops and risk assessment sessions such as HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, Bowtie, and more. The facilitator will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture through dialogue and collaboration with clients. As a global pioneer in this field, with the UK as a leading hub, ERM has a strong presence worldwide. In Japan, we are recognized as a leading firm driving the adoption of technical and process safety across industries.   Key Responsibilities: Facilitate and document risk assessments related to process safety (e.g., HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, Bowtie, ALARP) Plan, lead, and record client workshops and meetings Support the development of technical materials and presentations Collaborate with project managers and consultants to drive project success Communicate effectively with domestic and international clients in both Japanese and English Required Qualifications: Degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, safety engineering, or a related technical field Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency Strong communication and teamwork skills Experience facilitating workshops or meetings Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years of practical experience in process safety Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies such as HAZOP Experience working in consulting firms or engineering companies Ideal Candidate Profile: Able to provide value through technical expertise and facilitation Proactive in building trust-based relationships with clients Flexible and collaborative, with the ability to work in diverse teams Who We Are: As the world’s leading sustainability consulting firm, ERM is uniquely positioned to contribute to the environment and society through the expertise and energy of our employees worldwide.
