The Senior Accountant is responsible for overall finance and accounting activities for NPL, ensuring that the accounting records are maintained accurately, professionally, and efficiently, in accordance with US GAAP and bridged to local statutory requirements.  Secondly, this role closely works together with CFS KL team on day-to-day operations, to make sure good control environment is in place. Thirdly, this position has full responsibility on both internal and local statutory reporting, including SOX, IA, external audit and tax. This position reports to the Controller Nihon Pall and is part of the APAC Finance team located in Shinjuku Tokyo, Japan and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Work closely with CFS (the Global Shared Services team in Malaysia) to manage the end-to-end accounting processes for NPL (AP, AR, GL, FA, IC) and ensure accurate and timely month-end closing and financial reporting. Support the preparation and maintenance of annual budgets and forecasts, monitor variances, and report significant deviations to Corporate Finance and management as necessary. Maintain robust internal financial controls, ensure SOX compliance, and coordinate with Danaher Internal Audits. Liaise with local tax agents to ensure timely submission of corporate tax and address other tax-related queries; manage VAT submissions.  Drive process improvements by proactively identifying opportunities and eliminating non‑value‑added activities and perform other ad hoc administrative duties as assigned. The essential requirements of the job include: Min. 3+ years at a multi-national company. Solid knowledge of US/Local GAAP, internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and financial reporting, VAT and customs and Tax matters. Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, as well as solid hands-on experience with SAP and reporting systems (e.g., OneStream, Hyperion). Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a self‑motivated, proactive approach. Native-level proficiency in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.
